Clear statements your artists can check
Every period, each artist waits for their statement. Labelmate produces one PDF per artist, with the summary, the amount payable and the line-by-line detail, and you send it from the label's mailbox.

The Statements page shows the current period: what is payable, the royalties, what was recouped, and the checks to clear before issuing.
Every statement opens as a PDF before it is issued: the same document the artist will receive, marked “Draft” on every page. Nothing is kept or sent.

The essentials first
What the artist earned in the period, what was recouped from their advance, what is left to recoup, and the amount payable.
Line by line
Track, channel, territory, quantity, net receipts, rate, royalty: every line comes from the distributor's report.
Everyone's share
When a track is shared, the statement shows the payees and their shares.
A document that lasts
An archived PDF/A with its fingerprint, in English or French, with the calculation's data attached to the file.

You issue the period
Labelmate produces the PDFs and locks the figures: an issued period no longer changes.

You read the email
For each artist, Labelmate prepares the email: the recipient, the subject, the text, the PDF attached. You read it and correct it.

It leaves from your mailbox
The statement is sent from the label's mailbox, one click per artist. A copy comes back to your mailbox, kept as proof it was sent.
Questions
How often?
As often as your contracts say, often twice a year. In France, when an artist's pay depends on revenue, the law asks for a statement every six months (article L. 212-15 of the Intellectual Property Code).
What about paying the artist?
Labelmate works out what is owed and sends the statement. The transfer you make from your bank, as today.
Can my artists see their statements online?
Not yet: a space for artists will come later. Today, each one receives their statement as a PDF, by email.
